Computer systems:  Computer, monitor, keyboard, mouseAn example of a computer and a monitor is an Imac. This is a monitor built into the computer. These start from 889. I would recommend it because graphic designers tend to use imacs because of the way they are built as its all built into one.
An example of a keyboard is a mac keyboard these cost £59 and they are very useful as the mouse can be inserted into the keyboard at the top right-hand corner.
An example of a mouse is a mac mouse, this is called the magic mouse and this is also £59
Input devices: camer,  Scanner, Graphics tabletAn example of a camera is a connon cameria this is £89.99 and is very useful to people that take a lot of photographs.
An example of a scanner is the Xerox 7600i A4 Scanner this is £47.00 and this converts pictures into a digital photo on your computer screen.
An Example of a graphics tablet is Wacom Intuos Pro Medium this is £299.99 and you can use it on photoshop. You can draw on it and it will create the drawing on your screen.
Output devices: Printer, Vinyl cutter, projectorAn example of a printer is Epson Workforce WF-2520NF A4 Colour Multifunction Inkjet Printer this costs around £87.00 and you can print out your documents from your computer onto it.
An example of a vinyl cutter is 28" Vinyl Cutter, Weeding Pack & FlexiStarter 11 this is costing around £399.00
An example of a projector is an Acer C120 this costs around 177.15. a projector projects the image that is on your screen onto a wall of a white canvas but in a much larger perspective.
Storage: external hard drive.An example of an external hard drive is Seagate Expansion 500GB USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black this is costing around £37.00 this is An external hard drive is a portable storage device that can be attached to a computer through a USB or FireWire connection, or wirelessly
Vector, bitmap and DTP software 


A vector graphics editor is a computer programme that allows users to compose and edit vector graphics images interactively on a computer and save them in one of many popular vector graphics formats. An example is Serif DrawPlus X5 - Graphic Design Software for 19.99 on google.
In computing, a bitmap is a mapping from some domain (for example, a range of integers) to bits, that is, values which are zero or one. It is also called a bit array or bitmapindex.
Desktop publishing software can generate layouts and produce typographic quality text and images comparable to traditional typography and printing. This technology allows individuals, businesses, and other organizations to self-publish a wide range of printed matter.

Using the computer system provided, carry out the following routine maintenance:
       Create a file structure under user as follows
A folder labelled with your name and within this folder create 3 folders labelled Home, Work and Study
       Configure the operating system to perform the following:
       back-up procedures
       automatic scheduling and deletion of unwanted data
       archiving
       defragmentation
       deleting temporary files
       Cleaning keyboard, mouse, display screen of the computer provided
       replacing consumables printer paper in the printer provided
·         replacing the damaged mouse

How the activity meets the requirements of the assessment and grading criteria, including how and where the activity took place
I witnessed Megan configure the operating system to back-up procedures, set automatic scheduling and deletion of unwanted data, I witnessed her archiving and reduce the amount of fragmentation. Megan then deleted temporary files; she cleaned the keyboard, mouse and display screen of the computer provided.
